The 1932 Marker at Mountain Meadows
Massacre Site,
Utah
Dedicated September 10, 1932
By The
Utah Pioneer Trails and Landmark Association and The People of Southern Utah
The
1932 marker incorrectly identifies the
wagon train Captain as "Charles" Fancher.
It should be Alexander Fancher.
None of the known wagon trains were from Missouri, they were all from
northwestern Arkansas.
